It is nice to meet you, whether in person or remotely.

No matter who you are, or where you are on life’s journey, you are welcome here.

In our community we work together we seek the presence of God in our lives, and strive to follow Christ’s example to love and serve our neighbors.

Sunday morning worship is conducted in person and remotely at 10 a.m. each week. For those who attend in person, we update our mask requirement according to the CDC’s guidelines. Find the current status here.

Worship Without Worry

We are rooted in the deep Christian tradition. We are open to the new things God is doing today.

Worship is the heart of our community’s life. Singing together, praying together, and listening for God’s word in the stories of scripture on Sunday prepares us to live faithfully in the week ahead.

Our regular Sunday worship service begins at 10 a.m. each week, and features music that makes our spirits soar, sermons that connect the stories of the Bible to our lives, and prayer that allows us to lift up to God all that we cannot hold on our own.

On any given Sunday, you might hear classical music or favorite gospel tunes. You might sing a hymn written hundreds of years ago, or one written a few months ago. You will hear an ancient story from the Bible, made new for our world today. You may recite a doxology written by a former member, or one that reflects the spirit of the season.

One of the best ways to get to know our church is to subscribe to our email list for weekly updates and invitations from our life together.

Frequently Asked Questions

What time does worship start?

Worship begins at 10 a.m. and lasts about an hour.

What should I wear?

Some worship in jeans, others in their “Sunday best,” but most of us fall somewhere in between. We welcome your personal style.

Where should I park?

Parking is available in a lot behind the church. From Canton Avenue, turn into the main entrance at the front of the church and follow the road along the east side of the church building to reach the parking lot in the rear. Street parking is also available along Canton Avenue.

What do children do during worship?

It is a joy and a gift to have them worship with us. Children are welcome, and encouraged, to attend and participate in our worship service. There is a Children’s Message in each service where they are invited forward for a lesson from the minister and then dismissed to Sunday school. If you are visiting with us, your children are welcome to attend Sunday school, or remain in worship with you. Sunday school is in session September through June.

Do I have to stand up or speak during worship?

Your participation during worship is your choice. Opportunities to stand, pray and sing arise when we pass the peace and during hymns.

Do you celebrate communion?

Yes. We celebrate holy communion on the first Sunday of every month. All are welcome to participate fully. You do not need to be a member of our church, or the United Church of Christ, in order to receive communion.

Do you offer first communion for children?

Yes. Please see our special services page to learn more about it.
